Motivation Thursday!!

So, I'm not going to lie. I don't know if I'm back to blogging or not. Eh...
I really just wanted to write something motivational to everyone out there who is, or has been working had to obtain their fitness goals.
The past few years, I've tried different things to lose weight. The Dr. Ian's fat smash diet, herbalife, ect. This is not to say the neither if the worked. They did. I got amazing results. The bad part about them is got bored so quickly. The first few months, I was in it to win it. I wanted those quick results. That's exactly what I got. Quick results. Not long-lasting results.  I was going so hard, and after a while, I hit a wall. I just didn't want to do it anymore. Why was everyone  else able to do what they wanted, eat what they wanted and not gain anything, or lose muscle. Yet, I eat ONE french fry, and I gain 20 pounds!!! Lol. I wanted to eat what I wanted,  when I wanted,  and how I wanted.  I didn't care,  and Lo and behold,  I am back where I started.  Clothes I couldn't fit,  this time last year are the struggle to put on now.  Taking pictures is an absolute no,  unless it's the occasional selfie, that didn't show my body.
Jazz, how the heck is this motivational? ? Lol
This time around,  I decided to do things differently,  my way.  I'm not going to follow some one else's diet plan.  So,  what I started doing was meal prepping. Something my trainer has been telling me to do for over a year.  She always says,  your problem isn't that you eat unhealthy,  or dont work out, you don't like to cook everyday.  No truer statement has ever been spoken.  As a woman,  I should LOVE  to cook,  right?  Well,  I don't.  I actually don't like being in the kitchen too long.  Can I cook?  The things I like,  yes.  If you are looking for a 4 course meal,  yea,  I'm not even willing to try.  Lol. Anywho, I began meal prepping BEFORE I got back into a regular workout routine. Doing this allowed me to focus on what I was eating. I had to actually think about what I want to put in my body for the next 7 days. Doing this, helped me create a habit. If I don't meal prep, I don't have food to eat at work, which allows me to EAT anything,  which is what I'm trying to shy away from. I also have been following the 80/20. During the week,  I eat healthy.  No fried foods, minimum amount of carbs. On the weekends, IF I want to I splurge.  Pizza, or eating out. I still plan meals for the weekends.  Once I got into this routine,  I started back working out. I've NEVER liked the gym.  Not because I feel out of place,  but I like to kick off my shoes and lay out in the floor sometimes, and at the gym, that just looks weird,  and gross. Lol.
I got a kettlebell for Christmas, and it is my new best friend.  I also go to zuumba twice a week,  and just went to my first dance fuzion class, which was amazing. (It's also taught by my friend/coworker.)
The motivation in this long story is never give up.  Even when you fall off,  don't give up. Hell,  it had been months since I worked out and ate healthy,  until I glanced in the mirror.  My thoughts weren't on if anyone thought I looked good this way,  I didn't like the way I looked,  and that's what's most important. (Not that I'm lacking confidence. #prettyonfleek lol.) We all have things we want to work on.  Hell,  I've been trying to get a booty for years! ! Lol. You have to do what works for you,  not what you think others will like.  You also have to be willing to keep doing.  Don't like for quick results.  Do things that are long lasting.  If you want to lose weight,  know that it's a process. It's a life decision.  Set attainable goals.  Work at it.  Keep going.  Push.
